Woloo App Inauguration on Women’s day!

In a ceremony organized on Mar 8, 2021 on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Woloo App has been officially inaugurated by Honorable Minister Adv. Mrs. Yashomati Thakur, Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development Department.

Woloo brings clean, safe and hygienic bathrooms for women across the city. The app enables women to find the nearest Woloo Powder Room. These air-conditioned washrooms will be located at convenient locations and will also have a women-centric wellness product store.

On this occasion, Hon. Minister Adv. Mrs. Thakur extended her support for the initiative and stated, “This is a fantastic initiative. We repeatedly talk about women and liberalization, and the implementation of this thought is now taking place. Gender budgeting was introduced last year and that will be implemented in a strong way. I definitely believe that clean restrooms should be available every 25 kilometers and Woloo will help us achieve this.”

Woloo also expresses gratitude to Mrs. Anita Patil (IFS), Mr. Rahul More, and Dr. Dayanand Sonsale (Bodhi, NGO) for their generous support and the recommendation from the Maharashtra State Commission for Women. Furthermore, Woloo extends a special thank you for their assistance in garnering the permission of Hon. Adv. Ms. Yashomati Thakur to inaugurate the Woloo App.

As a mark of respect, lifetime free Woloo’ monthly membership has been extended to all state Government women employees of all grades & categories across all the departments.

These Woloo toilets are certified by the Woloo Assurance of Hygiene (WAH) in association with the international Toilet Board Coalition (TBC). This is a first of its kind Global Star Toilet Standard Guide and Certification Initiative, that is aimed at the establishment of a standard for toilet cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
